Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co., LTD. (Baosteel Desheng for short) was founded in 2005, formerly known as Fujian Desheng Nickel Co., LTD. In 2009, the whole process production line of sintering, blast furnace, steel continuous casting, 1150mm hot rolling and 1150mm solid solution stainless steel was established, which innovatively produces stainless steel directly with low-cost nickel ore resources, changes the passive situation of stainless steel production subject to the large fluctuations of international nickel prices, and improves the competitiveness of domestic stainless steel enterprises.
In 2011, Baosteel Group restructured Fujian Desheng Nickel Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co., LTD., continued to implement the technical renovation of the original stainless steel production line. The 1250mmDRAPL cold rolling line and 1250mmHRAPL pickling line were built and put into operation successively. Process equipment, energy conservation, environmental protection, and fire safety facilities have been comprehensively improved and upgraded.
In 2021, China Baowu (formerly Baosteel Group) decided to entrust Baosteel Desheng to TISCO Group for management based on the overall planning, construction and integration of the stainless steel industry. Baosteel Desheng has become an important stainless steel base of China Baowu TiSCO Group under the control mode of "one headquarters and multiple bases", and an important layout along the coast and river. In 2022, Baosteel Desheng Fine Stainless Steel Green Industry Base one-step project of 360㎡ sintering, 2500m3 blast furnace, steel continuous casting, 1780mm hot rolling, 1600mm pickling has been fully completed and put into operation, helping to strengthen, improve and expand the stainless steel industry.
Baosteel Desheng focuses on the research and development of differentiated stainless steel products such as high quality, cost-effective, energy saving and environmental protection, and wins the market by relying on the advantages of coastal location and stable product quality. At present, it has formed an annual production capacity of 4.7 million tons. The stainless steel products cover the full variety of 200 series, 300 series and 400 series, which are widely used in building decoration, home appliance industry, equipment manufacturing, automobile industry, petrochemical industry and other fields.
Baosteel Desheng's project of "Key Technologies and Applications of nickel Iron Smelting and Smelting Slag Value-added Utilization in Latelite Mine" won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress, and its 5G Smart steel project won the third prize of "2022 BRICS Industrial Innovation Competition". It has also won many honorary titles such as "Top 100 Enterprises in Fujian", "Safe Enterprise in Fuzhou" and "Civilized Unit in Fuzhou City".
